  1. Treasurer’s Report:MG advised he had not prepared for this item as it was not on original agenda.  Matters were much the same as discussed at the AGM.  As at end of financial year 31/3/20 standard income had dropped but costs had been marginalised.  Helen Bradshaw had secured a Grant from Braintree District Council in the sum of £10,000 to cover drop in income over current and next financial years.  Bank balance stands at around £26.5K and it was discussed what maintenance items may require expenditure soon, namely the rear roof and guttering, possibly the front windows in the original part of the Hall and the damp that is back on the wall by the fireplace which may be being caused by the bees present in the wall.  Martin agreed to check workings of the heating units in the Hall to ensure what air is being blown into Hall.  Ongoing from previous meetings there is the Garden Maintenance and Desmond agreed to speak with Andrew Hogsberg to see if he could accommodate undertaking this maybe 2 or 3 times per year.

  1. Any Other BusinessThere was a general discussion around what possible Covid arrangements may have to be in place when the Hall re-opens.  LR spoke about arrangements that Bures VH have put in place namely a one way system with clear signage say Entrance at front of Hall and Exit at rear.  Sanitizer to be available at entrance and exit.  Disposable towels to be available in both WCs (DB to check with Ferriers Barn for supplier of recently purchased units).  At Bures hirer does the additional cleaning required and Committee have increased the deposit for the Hall so that if cleaning is not done to the required standard the cost for this can be recovered.  If there is 72 hrs between hirings and the Hall is shut up this covers cleaning is respect of Covid.

When Hall reopens Committee will spend on Community Events.
